Scott first trained hunting dogs at a kennel for field-trial retrievers in St Louis. He worked with highly skilled dogs for competition, but there were so many that he was never able to bond with them.
Harris moved on to training in the suburbs of Chicago, where he often worked with aggressive dogs and rehabilitation cases. Over the years, Scott would have clients approach him to raise a puppy and this is where his true passion was discovered. Scott decided to focus on the relationship between dog and human and put an emphasis on a dog’s mental health first.
Scott lives with his very understanding wife, Stephanie and raises puppies for clients internationally. He enjoys being “Uncle Superman ” to his nieces and coaching pee wee football. His “start them out right” mantra has now been echoed by other trainers across the country as the idea of raising and selling puppies for the purpose of family pets has picked up in the industry.
